it depends on the parents. one maybe black and the other could be asian, caucasian, indian, ect... plus you never know the baby could have bees adopted. i have mixed nieces and their beautiful! my oldest nieces father was black and irish and my sister is white with to many origins to count, lol but my niece has gorgeouse mocha colored skin and brown hair with natural blonde high lights. and my youngest nieces dad is korean and black and (same sister as before) and my niece has a light but golden brown skin and straight jet black hair. my nieces are very pretty. my daughter is mixed also but she is white and mexican. her dad is white and mexican and i am white and she looks mostly white (but she will most likely tan great when in the sun!) with light brown hair. we both have curly hair so naturally hers is curly. but like i said it all depends on the parents to determine what the child will look like.

Most dark complected babies are lighter when they are first born and develop their natural color over a period of months. Not all African American babies are born with straight hair , but some are and then by 6 months to 1 year it becomes more curly.

It takes awhile for a baby's skin pigmentation to occur, so an African American baby can look very white at birth, even if both parents are dark. I heard a true story of an Afr. Am. mthr giving birth %26amp; her husband thought she had an affair, because the baby was so light! Poor lady! The doctor had to explain it to him. My sister's father was Afr. Am. %26amp; our mthr is caucasian. She was actually darker when she was little. Now she more resembles a dark hispanic. She's absolutely beautiful, too. Her hair was curly as a baby, but it has straightened out since she's reached adulthood.

Oh, yeah, there's a lady I know who's parents are both full-blooded hispanics, but she is totally as white as me. She thinks it's funny when ppl are suprised when she starts speaking Spanish to them! That's probably a better example of how genetics work.

All African American babies do not have straight hair My son had wavy hair when he was born. Now he has a little afro. His hair is brown too now. Most black babies are born light skinned. I am light skinned and my baby's father is light skinned, my baby looks like he could be Puerto Rican or something. He is very light skinned with brown curly hair.
