But the thing i hate the most is that it doesnt grow! i want my hair to grow so badly . i put all kinds of oils and i have tried so many shampoos. i also put on all kinds of conditioners and treatments. my hair hasent fallen off. it just doesnt grow? do u think im doing too many stuff to it%26gt;

My hair wont grow!?

1) hair is always growing, your just not retaining any length

2) stick to one routine. a simple routine is best, that way you don't manipulate your hair that much

3) deep condition your hair once a week. your hair is relaxed so it needs the moisture, which is probably the reason for it being fragile.

4) wear protective styles. wear styles that keep your hair from rubbing against clothing %26amp; such. the ends is the most fragile part of the hair strand and constant rubbing against things causes breakage

you can email me if you have anymore questions

I'm not sure what "prettykitty" meant by our hair doesn't move but trust me, all hair is constantly growing unless you have some sort of medical condition like alopecia or some sort of scarring on your scalp-which I doubt. You should start a new, low-manipulation haircare regimen. Try rollersetting your hair, which minimizes direct heat on your hair, and will give your hair body, bounce, and movement. Don't put grease on your scalp, it will only clog your pores, which could slow the growth rate. You should deep condition regularly, and do protein treatments as well. you just haven't learned how to properly take care of relaxed hair.

once a week you should shampoo and deep condition with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Air dry, to lock in moisture and prevent breakage, then apply a light scalp oil to your scalp and a moisturizer to your strands. On the days your not washing either spray with a light leave in conditioner every other day or apply a light moisturizer every day. Try not to comb so often also, that aids in the snapping of hair.

you should also wear your hair in protective styles, any style that needs little to no combing or brushing and keeps the ends of your hair off of your clothes.

You don't have to clip your ends every month if its healthy, that will just make your shorter, hair only grows about 1/2 an inch per month, and if you cut it every month then it results in negative hair growth. Your hair will be shoulder length forever. If you keep up with your hair and get it healthy you only have to cut it once every 3 months, sometimes i only cut twice a year, and my hair is just fine.

shampoos:

creme of nature ultra moisturizing

neutrogena triple moisture shampoo(this is supposedly the better of the two)

conditioner

olive replenishing pak (mixed with olive oil, vegetable glycerin, sweet almond oil, rosemary oil, and coconut oil)

neutrogena triple moisture

scalp oil:

ginseng wonder 8 oil (this works well for my hair, i don't know about everyone elses though.)

you should also get a fotki.com account, they're free and they have a lot women who are growing their relaxed and natural hair out.

good luck.

Lavender oil has been shown to increase hair growth so massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c... for more details.
