My hair is wet and I want to let it air dry tonight. What should I do to it to ensure it dries SMOOTHLY AND EFFICIENTLY?

If this helps I have African American textured hair.

Mines is wet too. hee hee.I got it relaxed but didnt blow dry it cuz I was feeling lazy :)So this is what I did.

Anyways what I always do is apply organic root stimulator or you can apply any spray or wrap set.Then wrap your hair like the way they do it at the hairsalon.

Here are the steps:

*Brush hair downwards.

*Make a side part about three or four inches long.

*Using a comb,comb hair to the side and around the head in the direction of the side part with more hair.

*Using a brush,brush in the hair that may be straggling out of the wrap.Dont worry if all the hair doesn't wrap.

*Next take a hairclip and clip where the hair end meets.

Your hair should look like a small cone.

* Wrap overnight and in the morning comb hair out in a downward direction.

This is going to keep your haire straight,soft and smooth.

I know it may sound difficult but its really quite easy.

Put a little bit of frizz serum in it or baby oil to smooth it down and just dont go outside until it dries so it doesn't go frizzy and afro. serum usually works well.

typpically a little glosser and mousse will do the trick, apply it from the roots to the tips and just run a comb through it to make sure yo have no tangles. That usually works.

Sleeping with wet hair is hard to get it to dry "smootly and efficiently". I'm not sure what you mean, if you mean you want it to dry straight, that's sort of difficult. Your best bet, so that it will dry quickly and won't look like crap when you wake up, is to run some mousse through your hair and then comb it.

is your hair thick or thin? it should dry, do you have somewhere to be in the morning?

keep brushing it downward and smoothly until you are ready for bed then pull back in a low pony tail loosely with soft scrunchies if you have any, then put another one halfway down the ponytail and sleep with your hair that way. take them out the next morning and use a blow dryer on low and blow downward on your hair while brushing it downward to remove any humps in your hair where the scrunchies were. If you have a straightening iron use that to help smooth it out.

girl. all you gotta do is put you some mousse in there and wrap it. wrap it around your head and then put a silk scarf on it. when you wake up in the morning it will be perfectly straight.
