Well, if you mean split ends, you should probably get a cut every month, to get all of those dead ends gone. To prevent them from coming back you should use one or more of the following:

TRESemme Anti-Breakage shampoo %26amp; conditioner

TRESemme Remoisturize shampoo %26amp; conditioner

TRESemme Deep Cleansing shampoo %26amp; conditioner

Those three all work to prevent breakage. [: You can buy them at Walmart or Walgreens, they're like $5-10.

First of all I reccomend using a shampoo and conditioner specifically for hair that breaks alot, I reccomend Garnier Fructis Length and Strength or Herbal Essences Break's Over.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers,curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.

Try a hot oil treatment by V05. Your hair is probably dry and needs a moisturizer. They have hair product that you can get from the Beauty supply store. You need to grease your hair at least once a week. Sometime go to the hair salon and get a wash and set. They condition your hair.

If it's split ends you need to have your hair cut to where all split ends are gone. If there's still split after a trim, it will continue to split how it did before. And regular trims.

Well take it from a fellow african american whos been there: my hair grew incredibly fast by using Pine Tar hair grease, (its easy to find because it has a picture of a bird on it) and Shea Butter which works directly towards repairing damaged hair roots. I am not jokin when i say that these two products worked amazing and theyre real cheap too! Good luck!
